Terms of Service

inbox.camp is a service of Cold Press Labs LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to these terms on behalf of your organization.

Service description

inbox.camp provisions and operates a mail server inside your AWS account and provides the management console and webmail. Your email data, your server, and the credentials to it remain in your AWS account at all times; inbox.camp stores account metadata (organization, users' addresses, configuration, operational events) but no message content and no server credentials.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for your AWS account, its security, and the AWS costs of the resources we create there (an EC2 instance, its EBS volume and snapshots, S3 storage, SES sending, Route 53 DNS). You must comply with AWS's Acceptable Use Policy and not use the service to send spam or malicious email.

Our responsibilities

We operate the service with reasonable care and protect the account information you give us. We access your AWS resources only through the IAM role you create for us, only with the actions listed in its published policy, and every such action is recorded in your AWS account's audit logs. We take hourly snapshots of your server in your account and keep them for two days, and daily snapshots for thirty.

Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Your mail server is a single instance in the AWS region you chose; if it fails we restore it from its disk or latest snapshot, and mail sent to you in the meantime is queued by the sending servers and delivered afterwards. The service depends on AWS infrastructure availability in your region.

Nonpayment

If you stop paying, we stop managing. We do not stop your mail. Your server, your DNS and your data remain in your account and keep working; you may keep running them yourself, hire anyone to do so, or come back.

Free trial

New organizations get a 30-day free trial. We ask for a card before we create anything in your AWS account and do not charge it until the trial ends. Cancel before then from the console's Billing page and you pay us nothing. AWS bills you for the resources in your account from the moment they exist, trial or not.

Pricing & billing

The service is $5 per mailbox per month, with a minimum of 3 mailboxes per organization, billed monthly in advance through Stripe. A mailbox counts from when it is created until it is deleted (a disabled mailbox still receives mail and still counts); adding or deleting mailboxes changes your bill, prorated. Migration is included when you set up through the console. Done-for-you migration, when you ask for it, is a one-time $299 for up to 10 mailboxes plus $10 for each additional mailbox, and on-call help you request is $199 per hour. Prices exclude any applicable taxes. Payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. AWS infrastructure costs are billed directly by AWS to your account.

Cancellation and termination

You may cancel at any time from the console's Billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for; after that we stop managing your server, as described under Nonpayment. To revoke our access yourself, delete the inboxcamp-engine CloudFormation stack in your account; this takes effect immediately and does not affect your server. Your email data remains in your S3 bucket and on your server — it's your data, always. If you want the resources we created removed from your account, ask us before you delete the stack and we will remove them.

Limitation of liability

inbox.camp is provided "as is." We are not liable for data loss, downtime, or damages beyond the fees you've paid us in the prior 12 months. Since your email data lives in your AWS account, you maintain independent backups and control.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
